Well this week definitely didnt`t seem like it was Thanksgiving, but of course I was still thinking of all of you at home and how blessed I am. I truly have so much to be grateful for. On Tuesday we had interviews with President Arrigton and because I am close to Concepcion now, we were invited to their house for interviews. They live on the top floor of a really nice apartment buliding on top of a hill that looks over a lake and you can also see the place where the temple will be built. It is truly a beautfiul view and their house is so full of the spirit. Hermana Arrigton told me that she has been thinking about me a lot and wanted to invite me and my Hermana group to come back to their house today and decorate for Christmas. So this morning, we went back to their house, ate cinnamon rolls, and decorated for Christmas!
I cant believe it is already December 1st. I absolutely love the Christmas season. As missionaries we have been really trying to emphasize the true meaning of Christmas as we share the message of our Savior, his birth and example, his sacrifice and love. I have felt an increased spirit as I have truly come to understand the beautiful reason for the season. I hope you all feel the love of your Savior and can think of a gift to give him this year. I know that he loves each one of us and through his atonement we may recieve the most happiness in this life.
I hope you all have a wonderful week! Thank you for you love, support, and constant prayers. I can feel them strengthening me every day.
Con mucho amor,
Hermana Parkin
