This last week was wonderful! We have been very busy with activities for the mission and enjoying the holidays. On the 23rd we had a conference in Chian with all 270 missionaries in the mission. It was so great to see my old companion and many of the missionaries that I have served with before. We ate, watched each zones skit, and watched a video of pictures in our mission from the year 2014. After we listened to the testimonies of missionaries who will be leaving soon, President and Hermana Arrington, and also one of the members of the 70. It was quite an emotional meeting. It was special to see many missionaries bear testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ, his atonement, and the way they have developed such a strong relationship through their Heavenly Father through prayer. The member of the 70 spoke of giving our whole will to Heavenly Father and becoming a completely converted missionary. I have set a goal to try and give all of my will to him and remove any selfish desires. I feel like I am working harder every day and it is so rewarding being able to focus all my time on the Lord.
Christmas Eve was special because we spent the evening with Janson and his family and also another family in the ward. The members here are so loving I felt right at home during the holiday season. Of course it was a special experience to talk to my family on skype and see their faces! That was definitely the best part of my Christmas.
Tomorrow is the first day of the next cambio and luckily Hermana Wallis and I get to stay together! We have so many plans and goals and I know we are going to see a lot of miracles here in Talcahuano. I can hardly believe that we have almost reached 2015. So many changes have happend in the past year and I can hardly believe how far I have progressed. It is amazing how the Lord is shaping me into the person he wants me to become.
I hope you all had a very merry Christmas. Enjoy the new year and know that I love you all! Have a wonderful week.
Con mucho amor,
Hermana Parkin
