This week as I was meeting the members everyone kept asking how long I had been in the mission. When I said a little longer than 4 months, no one could believe me. They keep complimenting me on how well I can speak the language. It makes me feel good to look back and see how far I have come. I have learned so much this first bit of my mission.
As far as investigators go we are finding more each day. Last week we set two baptismial dates for December 6th and 12th. They are both progressing really well and excited to prepare for their baptisms. I am learning so much from the way Hermana Wallis teaches and think we are becoming more in unity each day.
The other hermanas had a baptism on Saturday and he wanted to be baptized in the ocean so he was... it was a beautiful experience and I can only imagine that he must have been freezing! Its kind of a cool story. His wife and two children are all members and both of his kids are actually serving a mission right now, and he finally decided to be baptized. He is so strong and such a great guy.
Anyway thats all for this week. I hope you all know how much I love and miss you. Thank you for your support and prayers. I truly can feel the strength from them every day. Have a wonderful week.
Con mucho amor,
Hermana Parkin
