I have such little time to write today but I would like to share a small update of my week. Like you all know I was able to be in contact with Allison again, but I tried to confirm the appointment one day before and she wouldnt answer her phone. She finally called me back and began to appoligize for not answering but that is had been a crazy day. She then went on to explain that although she enjoyed meeting with us and really appreciated us listening ot her, she doesnt have enough time to dedicate herslef ot going to churhc each sunday and to cinsistently meeting with us. I could tell she felt bad, but she kindly thanked me for everything and said, `I want you to konw that when you taught me about the atonement and forgiveness, I was able to talk with 2 people I love very much and be more open with them. Now things are getting better` I got emotional after hearing her say that, because I know that although she may not get baptized right now or I might not have the privelage to teach ehr, that a seed was planted in a moment of need. We were able to listen to her and teach her about a lovin savior who understands her pains and worries and through his atonement makes it possible ofr us to feel relief from guild and sorrow. Allison told me if anything ever changes she will give us a call. I then invited her to meet with the missionaries when she returns back to the states and has more time to commit herself to living the gospel.
I have such a strong testimony that god places people in our paths for very specific reasons and that as we follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost we will be able to find joy in serving others and God will trust us more to carry out his glorious work.
Hermana Lance and I have been seeing so many miracles here in Collao. The weather is warming up as spring is approaching and we have an investigator named Gerald who has already come to church twice and is progressing towards baptism for September 26th. Please keep him in your prayers.
I know that this church is true and thank my Heavenly Father every day for the many blessing that have come into my life through my time serving as a missionary.
I hope you all have a wonderful week and know that I am praying for you.
Con harto amor,
Hermana Parkin
