Well this last week seemed to fly by quicker than the last one. We have been really busy and working hard even though it is raining a lot! Yesterday we left the house and as we walked it began to rain so hard with so much wind that our umbrellas blew inside out. We couldn´t stop laughing. We have just gotten to the point that we accept we are going to be completely drenched so we just make the best out of it. I`ve never experienced so much rain in all of my life and apparently its a `dry`winter so I cant imagine what it usually must be like.
On Tuesday we had our leadership counsel meeting and President Arrington explained that this next cambio we are going to have a new focus on using the scriptures and leaving strong commitments. We talked a lot about the importance of nourishing ourselves through the study of The Book of Mormon daily and also the power of using scriptures in our lessons. The mission has made a new rule that we are not allowed to leave any house without sharing a passage from The Book of Mormon. I feel like every since I have been making the use of the scriptures a focus in my life I have been able to feel the power that comes through its words and the spirit that is invited into my life. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that all men can draw closer to God by reading and following its precepts than any other book.
Today we had transferrs but luckily I get to stay in Collao with Hermana Garces. We have been praying to stay together because we have gotten along so well and have been working really hard. I honestly love my companion and am learning so much from her. She will be going home 2 weeks early so it will be interesting to see what is going to happen with me for those last two weeks, but as for know I am so grateful that I get to stay in my sector. I love the people here and am not ready to leave them yet.
I hope you all know how much I love and appreciate your constant support. I honestly feel the strength and power of your prayers. Thank you! Have a wonderful week.
Con harto amor,
Hermana Parkin
