This week was a very special one. We had our interviews with President Arrington and he shared a special message with all of the missionaries about the importance of being exactly obedient. The next day we had a speical zone class about The Atonement. It was a really special experiene as all the missionaries shared their testimony of the Savior´s sacrifice.
On Friday my companion and I had so many plans and a lot of members committed to visit people with us. Some how every plan fell through. At the end of a long day of walking we headed for our last appointment with the mission leader. Unforunately it also fell through. Trying not to get discouraged I had the idea to try one last person. On our way to the house we ran into the other set of Hermanas that live in our house. They were really discouraged because they were about to enter a house for an appointment and the member who was going to come with them didnt show up.
Although I wanted to keep looking for someone to visit with our mission leader I felt that they needed him more in their lesson so I told them that he could go with them because we didnt have a set appointment.
When we were getting ready for bed, the other Hermanas thanked us for letting them have the member in their lesson. They explained that our mission leader ended up knowing the family and the spirit was so strong during the lesson. It made me happy to think that although all of our plans fell through, we were able to be a blessing in the lives of others through our dilligence.
That night I felt the love of my Savior and the strength that comes from his grace. I testify that he really does understand every feeling of pain, disappointment, and doubt. He can lift us up when we are down and provides the hope in our lives. How blessed we are to have a Savior that loves us, showed us the way to return to Heavenly Father through his perfect example, suffered and died for us, and who lives today.
I hope you all have a wonderful week and know that I am praying for each of you. Thank you for your support and love.
Con mucho amor,
Hermana Parkin
