It's seems unreal how quickly the time flies by. I feel like only yesterday I was in Chile wearing a name tag that said Hermana Parkin. Now four months later here I am back in Provo, Utah. I have been trying to keep in contact with those from my mission, but it is harder than I thought it would be. I've been very busy studying at BYU, I am currently working at Kneaders, and I have recently started dating someone. Who knew that so much could change in such a short amount of time?
I have chosen to study Dietetics and am currently taking prerequisite classes in order to apply to the program next February. In order to be ready for that I will be going to school year round. The life of a full-time student is definitely much different than that of a full-time missionary, but I have been striving to apply the things I learned in that valuable time and I can feel the blessings in my daily life that have come from my service. I feel so grateful to live in a city where there are two temples dedicated and I have the opportunity to attend more frequently. I have amazing roommates, home teachers, friends, family, and an incredible ward. Although I am exhausted most of the time it is very apparent to me that God's hand is constantly in my life. I will forever be grateful to him for the wonderful opportunity I had to serve a mission and for all he constantly blesses me with. I feel happy and excited to see where this journey continues to go and know that as I place my faith and trust in my Heavenly Father, he will lead and guide me to where he wants me to be. I know he has so many wonderful things in store for me.
